Alice Xu
Education. Alice is a graduate of the University of Washington. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Business Administration from Xi’an International Studies University and her Juris Doctor degree from University of Washington School of Law.
Professional Experience. Alice is fluent in both Mandarin and English. Prior to law school, she worked for several years as a senior translator in Beijing, where she served multinational corporations and specialized in translating a wide array of complex business documents.
During law school, Alice earned two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards—one in Legal Writing and another in Contracts. She gained valuable legal experience through internships with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office and the Seattle City Attorney’s Office, where she developed strong skills in legal research and writing. In her third year, Alice externed with Washington Supreme Court Justice Mary Yu. This role provided her with unique, first-hand insights into judicial decision-making and the intricacies of legal writing at the appellate level. Alice is also committed to public service, volunteering regularly with the King County Bar Association’s Neighborhood Legal Clinics to provide pro bono legal assistance to low-income individuals.
Her practice focuses on estate planning and administration, including Wills, Testamentary Trusts, Revocable Living Trusts, Irrevocable Trusts, Durable Powers of Attorney, Health Care Directives, Marital Property Agreements, Probate, and Trust Administration, etc.
Professional Memberships. Alice is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the WSBA Real Property, Probate and Trust Section.
Personal. Alice is married and has two children. She loves outdoor activities, including hiking, cycling, paddling, and skiing. She is proud to call the Puget Sound area her home.
